Press Release – Extreme Caution urged following Circular from new Livestock Trading Entity

The ICOS Marts Committee has urged all co-operative marts to exercise ‘extreme caution’ in dealing with any new livestock trading entity allegedly being promoted by a current director of TLT International Ltd. (in Receivership).

The ICOS statement follows sight of a circular (attached) dated ‘November 2013’ promoting a new livestock trading partnership under the auspices of ‘Emerald Green Exports’ and ‘Gore Transport International’ respectively.  The circular is purportedly from one of the current directors of TLT International (in Receivership).

The ICOS statement said that, as of today, TLT International Ltd remains in Receivership, still owing in excess of € 3 million to marts and almost € 1 million to farmers directly.

The ICOS statement went on to say that, until there is a satisfactory resolution of the significant debt owed by TLT International Ltd to livestock marts and farmers, co-operative livestock marts must be circumspect around potential dealings with any trading entity where there is any level of involvement by a current director of TLT International Ltd.
