ICOS Attends WTO Public Forum 2014 in Geneva
ICOS was in Geneva this week having been invited to a Trade forum to meet with key negotiators and to integrate with the World Trade Organization.
Ban Ki-Moon the Secretary-General of the United Nations opened the event along with Roberto Azevedo, WTO Director General.
ICOS met with Irish officials from their mission to the WTO, as well has having bilateral meetings with officials from Europe, Canada and New Zealand.
ICOS also participated in a number of sessions regarding the future of agricultural trade, bilateral trade deals, food safety and standards, the role of co-operatives in protecting the family farm model, and nutrition labelling for dairy exports.
