ICOS welcomes the appointment of Michael Creed T.D., as Minister for Agriculture, Food and Marine. Mr. Creed is from a farming background, and is a former frontbench spokesperson on agriculture for his party. ICOS extends our best wishes to the new Minister and his family as he undertakes what is an extremely challenging portfolio. We look forward to meeting with the Minister in the near future to discuss a range of issues impacting dairy farmers and their co-operatives. We also take this opportunity to acknowledge the work of his predecessor, Minister Coveney, who was responsible for the adoption of the Food Wise 2025 strategy and several important agri-taxation measures.
