World Milk Day – 01 June 2017

The UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation’s World Milk Day will be held on 1st June.

It was first established in 2001. The Day provides an opportunity to focus attention on milk and to publicise activities connected with milk and the milk industry. It is a timely opportunity to publicise the benefits of milk and dairy products. This is particularly important in view of recent warnings by the Irish Osteoporosis Society regarding so called fad diets and the rise of alternative dairy products such as soya, coconut and almond based products.
