AURIVO CO-OPERATIVE RAISES €40,000 FOR MS IRELAND TO SUPPORT LOCAL SERVICES

Aurivo’s Charity of the Year initiative has raised €660,000 for a range of non-profits since the charity partner programme began.
1 July 2025 Aurivo Co-operative is proud to announce that it has reached its fundraising target of €40,000 for MS Ireland, its newly named Charity Partner of the Year for 2024/25.
MS Ireland provides essential information, advocacy, and support services to those living with Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic condition that affects the central nervous system. The organisation also offers vital guidance and assistance to family members caring for loved ones with MS.
Through the generosity of the team in Aurivo MS Ireland will be able provide a range of services from physio and exercise related activity programmes, peer supports programmes, coffee mornings and Fatigue Management courses.
Aurivo’s 700 employees across its network of 34 stores, four livestock marts, production plants, and headquarters are committed to supporting the cause through a wide range of fundraising efforts. Aurivo has also pledged to match all donations raised.
Since the launch of the Aurivo Charity Partner of the Year initiative, the co-operative has raised over €660,000 for 17 charitable organisations, including The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, and Make-A-Wish. Planned fundraising activities included the annual golf tournament, STEPtober Challenge, the Killygordon 5km, coffee mornings, raffles, and much more.
Commenting on the initiative as a significant source of pride for Aurivo Co-operative, Donal Tierney, Chief Executive, Aurivo said:
“At Aurivo, we are incredibly proud to have reached our fundraising target of €40,000 for our new charity partner, MS Ireland—an organisation that delivers vital care and support to people living with Multiple Sclerosis across our region and beyond.
With community at the heart of everything we do at Aurivo, we’re especially proud that funds raised will help bring crucial physiotherapy services to the North-West region, services that were not previously available.”
Echoing this sentiment Ava Battles, CEO of MS Ireland said:
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Aurivo for raising an incredible €40,000 in support of our regional services. These vital funds will be evenly distributed across Mayo, Sligo, Roscommon, Donegal, Leitrim, and Longford.
Aurivo’s generous contribution will directly enhance local programmes such as physiotherapy and exercise sessions that improve quality of life for people living with MS. It will also support crucial informational events for the wider MS community, offering resources and guidance for those newly diagnosed, their carers, and others affected.
We are truly grateful for Aurivo’s exceptional efforts. Their support will positively impact hundreds of lives across our regions.”
The €40,000 was presented to MS Ireland in July and will help the organisation provide vital support services to people living with Multiple Sclerosis in the local community.
