More than 200 farmers gathered for the Summer Farm Event hosted by Lakeland Dairies in collaboration with Teagasc. The event took place on the farm of David Williamson and his family near Bailieborough, Co. Cavan.

David farms alongside his three sons: Ian, Alan and Glen. The Williamsons have invested in significant upgrades on their farm over the past few years.

The event featured insightful discussions on key topics including on-farm investment strategies, farm succession planning and practical advice on managing cashflow and business structure.

Eamon Duignan, Member Relations Manager, Lakeland Dairies said, “We would like to thank our farmer suppliers for attending today’s event. A special word of thanks goes to the Williamson family for hosting us, and to our contributors from Teagasc, IFAC and the Land Mobility Service”

We are delighted to partner with Teagasc, the Land Mobility Services and IFAC for this important event.  The day provided invaluable insights to help dairy farmers tackle every day on-farm challenges. More importantly, it identified opportunities that will help their enterprises to adapt, grow and prosper.  I especially thank David, Ian, Alan and Glen for opening up their farm to host the event,” he added.

The Irish Heart Foundation was also in attendance providing free health checks to all attendees.
